Torta d'arancio

"Mom can I do? No, you're too small ... "How many times have you heard that answer while watching her mother or grandmother kneading with skilful hands and lots of love delicious delicacies? I always happening, you do not play with food! Nor were
cookbooks in the small kitchen of mother, except those who were paired with complimentary sachets of yeast! Among these is something I was one, perhaps the most important for my memories. It 'was the first that I and my sister we used to make a cake other than the usual two or three that were "eye" in our family!
The opportunity to bring out this memory, and the booklet now forgotten, it was thanks to a "sheep Marzipan " a dear and sweet friend that I know virtually almost a year, which involved me, I must say I am very pleased to be part of the jury for its beautiful contest :

So please, you have until April 14 but do not miss it! Look among your memories, in old trunks of the mother, grandmother, recipe book, Tiziana has appointed one for all: the Encyclopedia of kitchen Curcio, and the recipe that most reminds you of your sweet tooth years 80! Here I have only this little book, because the rest of my cookbooks, encyclopedias are cooking at home ....
However, there will be 5 winners and each will be rewarded with very precious objects, because designed and handmade by talented Tiziana !
orange cake which I'll try today, out of competition, of course, is from the cookbook: 100 recipes from the yeast Gall ..
which, I think that there is not even the factory! It 's a recipe much older 80s but it was around this time that I began to discover the pleasure of cooking and this little book had become my first school of pastry! Naturally then, the more I enjoyed cooking and bought more books ...

We carry the photo Recipe:

I made some changes: I added a pinch of salt and I added all the milk I had available for large eggs. I toasted pine nuts before you put them together. I did not put the ice but orange icing sugar and decorated with orange slices placed along the edges of the mold before pouring the mixture. I bake at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes, but do the toothpick test. It 'delicious!

S. GOOD VALENTINE TO ALL!
