EMBLA September 2010. ABOUT THE NEWS OF THE MISSION TO GEIPAN HESSDALEN

In this blog, we had reported about the news that in September 2010, the Italian-Norwegian mission to Hessdalen ( Embla 2010), had joined a group of French scientists, for a preliminary investigation.
Now, even the French Geipan (the only official body in Europe to deal with phenomena Unidentified aircraft reports the news of this mission, signed by the two leading scientists have taken in cooperation with the Italian-Norwegian technologists: Jacques Zlotnicki, Elisabeth Blanc.
The authors point out that news of this collaboration was born from a request from the Norwegian Project Hessdalen to obtain the cooperation of Geipan, according to a research consortium is French-Italian-Norwegian.
This first outpost of French scientists from different scientific institutions, he suggested an assessment mission with a few instruments in the winter 2010-2011.
This first campaign will: identify possible disturbances in the electromagnetic field at low frequencies (below 40 Hz) associated with events light, measuring the spectrum of the electric field at frequencies of large (from 1 kHz to 5 MHz). study the seismic noise, register with the Italian radar traces of the phenomenon, and automatic film, as a result of alarms, the luminous phenomenon with the instrumentation of the Norwegian Project Hessdalen.
Four facilities are currently operational: the Blue-Box with Norwegian equipment and electric field measurements, the radar station 4 km to the south, and two stations located in the valley and electromagnetic powered by batteries and solar panels.
Following this first campaign, the long phase of analysis of data collected will be implemented by the French-Italian-Norwegian consortium.
The results will allow a better understanding the genesis of light phenomena Hessdalen and to provide more systematic research on the spot.

Timeline Of A Verruca

October 2010. UPDATE OF EVENTS TLEs into Network IMTN

IMTN The Italian network is now one of the largest global networks of detection TLEs (Transient Luminous Events ), and we must remember dating back only a few years ago, the first capture of Sprite from Italian territory, with the first station SOSO of CIPH ( 4-5 September 2007).

Following the IMTN Network has collected many successes in the field, see, for example, the first arrest in Europe of a Gigantic Jet, thanks all'astrofilo Ferruccio Zanotti ( 11-13 December 2009)

Today the network consists of IMTN 20 stations on the Italian territory.

At this link are the updates of the events of 2010 TLEs:

IL DOROTHY PROJECT CORONA 50 ANNI DI SETI

50 years ago gave place to the famous Frank Drake Project Ozma, which was in fact the precursor of the SETI project.
Times have changed and especially the instrumental skills of working for the SETI radio telescopes, and this increases the chance of success of this project awkward.
The Dorothy Project, which takes its name from Ozma ispizazione as "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" is a further step that coincides with this important anniversary.
Between the beginning of November and December, the SETI network, which includes the radio telescope at Medicina (BO), will be played towards various targets .
Specifically:

Medicine Radiotelescopes Station, Italy (INAF, IRA) 44d31m15sN, 11d38m49sE 32m single dish, 1420 MHz, frequency resolution=0.7 Hz, 24 million channels spectrometer observational date: 6th Nov. morning - 7th Nov. morning (24 hours)
